Mad Max Post-Apocalyptic Weekend!
Wasteland Weekend is a three day Mad Max Post-Apocalyptic weekend that will be taking place Sept. 23-25 2011. This event has been going for some time across the world, but since 2009, this one has taken place closer to home...North of L.A. Some of the activities include performers(ie bands, firebreathers burlesque), vendors, vehicles of the wasteland, photo shoots, and "Jugger matches" as seen in the movie "Blood of Heroes"....and much more..check out the site for more info.

Joshua Hoffine- Photographic Artist
Two summers ago I had the pleasure of meeting Joshua at the Fan Expo Canada(hopefully this year as well), much to my surprise he was very personable and accommodated my request to sign both sides of one of his limited prints. Since then I have been keeping tabs on his work...originally what caught my interest was his capturing of childhood nightmares on film, but I can see that since then he has branched out and brought us even more macabre images outside his original scope. Creature- trailer
Creature is an upcoming American horror film, based on a novel written by Fred M. Andrews and Tracy Morse. The film is set in the Louisiana Bayou, where a bunch of friends discover a local legend and are in the fight for survival. Including the amazing Sid Haig!

At an Antarctica research site, the discovery of an alien craft leads to a confrontation between graduate student Kate Lloyd and scientist Dr. Sander Halvorson. While Dr. Halvorson keeps to his research, Kate partners with Sam Carter, a helicopter pilot, to pursue the alien life form.

Tales From The Crypt, back from the grave?
The new hourlong series will neither be anthological nor related to the HBO show. "It will be an ongoing series that uses characters from the comic books in a more modern context," Cosby said. "It's all about continually elevating the genre, for both existing fans of the source material and mainstream audiences."
A detailed pitch and a bible for the new Crypt series have been completed, with producers expected to take the project out shortly. It will be pitched to broadcast networks as part of the current development cycle as well as to cable outlets.
All I know is that the Cryptkeeper BETTER return! Keep your eyes peeled Boys and Ghouls!
