The Darkest Hour trailer
The American-based production depicts an alien invasion in Russia and stars Olivia Thirlby and Emile Hirsch as young people caught in the invasion. The film has a release date scheduled for December 23, 2011 in the United States and Russia.

One of my favourites is getting a re-imagining.or prequel....better be good!
At an Antarctica research site, the discovery of an alien craft leads to a confrontation between graduate student Kate Lloyd and scientist Dr. Sander Halvorson. While Dr. Halvorson keeps to his research, Kate partners with Sam Carter, a helicopter pilot, to pursue the alien life form.
