Top Five Favourite Horror Bad Guys (Kount Kreepy)

In keeping with the Halloween spirit and this blog's :P I have come up with my top 5 favourite horror movie villains.

5. DR. DECKER

Creepy, psychotic, and merciless...I choo choo chose you Dr.Decker! The maniacal antagonist in Nightbreed. Nightbreed tells a tale of Boon, a guy who thinks he is losing his mind because he dreams of running with the monsters in Midian. His dreams soon become reality as he struggles to hold his humanity and fit in with the monsters. Dr. Decker's goal is to eliminate all "Breeders" human and monster alike.

4. CAPTAIN SPAULDING

Sadistic Clown, Twisted Murderer, and proprietor of "Captain Spaulding's Museum of Monsters and Madmen"
A member of the Firefly Family in Rob Zombie's "House of 1000 Corpses" and "Devil's Rejects", Capt. serves up comedic relief and fried chicken...House of 1000 Corpses follows the story of a group of young people on a road trip, and their unfortunate encounter with The Firefly family and Dr.Satan.

3. TROLLS

So cheesey, what can I say...I love em. Vegetarian Trolls with an urge to turn people to plants. Troll 2 has the distinction of being called "The Worst Movie Ever Made". Its plot is stupid and simple...A family vacationing in a small town discovers the entire town is inhabited by goblins in disguise as humans, who plan to eat them. "Grampa, Nilbog spells Goblin backwards!!!"

2.  JASON VOORHEES

Silent and deadly, with a million ways to murder anyone. What more needs to be said about Jason...if you don't know who he is, just curl up back under your comfortable rock and go back to sleep. The Hero, I mean villain, of Friday the 13th needs no introduction. As kids, Evil Von Scarry and myself cheered for Jason's body count in order to not crap our pants...lol...but what I want to know is....Is he a Ghost? Zombie? Demon? Dunno

and my number 1 Favourite is:

1. ZOMBIES

Ah the sweet shambling hordes. Hands down, my fav horror bad guy.I love all things zombies..except "Day of the Dead" remake! And anything Uwe Boll....and George's latest 3 flicks...and Dead Rising..and Dale dyhing in The Walking Dead...ok so I don't love everything...but ever since I was a kid I dreamed of what it would be like to survive a zombie apocalypse. Of all the zombie flicks the best in my opinion are:

Day of the Dead (original):

and:

Return of the Living Dead:

$24,000 Zombie survival kit

$24,000 Zombie Survival Kit

Not since Y2K, has there been any other creature, character, or event (fictional or otherwise) that people have more thoroughly prepared for than geeks have for a zombie apocalypse. Sure, you may have started out just joking around with your friends about how you would go about taking a zombie out. But that has now led to you keeping baseball bats near your bed, and an extra pair of running shoes in your car... juuuuuuust in case. If someone asks you about the sudden appearance of zombie-preparedness paraphernalia floating about your person, you laugh it off, but then look at your friend for suspicious bite marks.
If you think you're obsession with the impending battle between the living and the undead has reached it's peak, think again. If you're really serious about gearing up, put your money where your mouth is. I present you with the Z.E.R.O. (Zombie Extermination, Research and Operations) Kit by OpticsPlanet. "So if I'm spending 24 G's on a survival kit that doesn't come with food or guns, what IS IN that stinkin' kit?" you ask. Well, here's the specs:

Juan of the Dead Review

So my Creepy friends, I just watched Juan of the Dead, and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. At first glance I thought, "Oh great, a Shawn of the Dead rip-off". But not at all...yes, there are a few similarities, but this movie has a completely different vibe and definitely worth seeing. The humour is a tad darker, and way more down in the gutter. Lol. More sex, and more violence. The FX are solid, with a few obvious CGI tweeks. But hey its meant to be tongue and cheek. The characters are great and hilarious. The only draw back to this movie for some will be subtitles. But if you are like me, and a die hard zomcom fan, you will really like this flick. The constant digs at all the institutions ie Communism, capitalism and other countries is entertaining too. So go out and buy this one, or whatever ya gotta do, but watch it! 4 of 5 bleeding brains!!

Zombie Truck

“The Haunted House of Horrors” has unveiled a promotional vehicle named as the Zombie Truck. The Haunted House of Horrors situated in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada is a Halloween haunted attraction. Modified from a mini carry truck of Suzuki and full of zombie repression, stalking and hunting gear; the Zombie Truck is horrifyingly deadly.
The Zombie Truck
The Zombie Truck
The Zombie Truck is a zombie collecting, tracking, hunting and dumping unit. A six foot tall metal zombie packing cage is its main feature and it can flock up to eight zombies. It is fully loaded with perilous equipments from exterior as well as interior. Zombie executing front bumper, emergency and auxiliary lighting, a siren with zombie sound effects, zombie themed vinyl graphics enclosure and a Gatling gun make The Zombie Truck so dreadful. The interior is military themed with seats and door panels padded by camouflage fabric. Stiff truck bed liner coating is used in the bottom so that the blood and guts of zombies can be washed away easily. Zombie bite disaster kit, shotgun mounted at the front and an LCD screen with zombie tracking GPS application are also featured in the truck.

Shawn Gusz is the creator of this vehicle and for a realistic effect he set life-sized zombie figures made by HauntedHouseCreations. These threatening figurines are put inside the zombie containment cage.

Map of the Dead

http://www.mapofthedead.com/

The Walking Dead teaches us that well-stocked pantries and armories are paramount to the survival of the human race after a zombie infestation. Canned food and ammunition: You can never have enough of these key essentials.
Enter the Map of the Dead from Doejo, which overlays zombie danger zones and potential supply locations on a Google Map of your local haunts. Red areas denote population centers where zombies might graze, while dark gray zones cover parks and wilderness areas, which are most likely to be walker-free. Supply locations are annotated with helpful descriptions — liquor stores, hospitals, gun shops, military bases and cemeteries are just some of the locations highlighted.
The map uses Google APIs and keyword searches to determine the location types that appear on the maps. The developers at Doejo are looking into adding more location types, such as schools, pawn shops and barricades. Unfortunately, certain keywords are currently returning too many false positives for these types of landmarks.
As for user-generated content — in other words, crowd-sourced supply and hiding place annotation — it’s something Doejo is exploring, but has no definite plans to implement. Which might be good. You don’t want to share your favorite fortified sniper perch with the whole world.
Still, with the Doejo maps, you can better plan for the coming zombie apocalypse, and even other natural disasters. At Gadget Lab, we scanned not only our local San Francisco environs, but also Chicago and New York City to determine safe zones should the worst come to pass. (We briefly considered a quick survey of Los Angeles, but decided that traffic snarls will doom the City of Angels to a quick and unstoppable zombie epidemic. Sorry, LA. We’ll miss your movie blockbusters and sunny beaches.)
Here’s a quick look at how well our three metropolitan areas are set up for riding out the zombie plague.

Manhattan is an island, which gives it an advantage over outlaying areas, insomuch that once the city shuts down the bridges and tunnels, survivors can start rooting out the water-locked zombies. On the flipside, a quick look at the map shows only three gun stores.
Sure, you can kill a zombie with a well-placed smack to the head, but who wants to get that close to something that wants to chew on your shoulder? Also, be careful about that military base between the two cemeteries — it’s actually just a recruitment center. And, of course, stay far away from cemeteries, which are typically popular spawning points for the undead.
As with all the Doejo maps of metropolitan areas, the Manhattan map only shows major stores, and leaves out neighborhood bodegas. So make friends with the owners of these stores right now. A few pleasantries today could prove fruitful tomorrow.

Chicago

Zombies don't want deep dish, they want brains. Photo: Google Maps/Doejo
The Windy City is surrounded by suburbs on three sides. That much open space could help the citizens of Chicago escape early in the infestation. That said, if you’re trapped in the city, it’s best to stay near the shore, as it’s easier to defend three sides than four. Plus, if you have an escape boat, you can head to Canada where the zombies are allegedly nicer.
Four military bases are within the immediate Chicago area, and could potentially help keep zombie infestation to a minimum. Or, conversely, the soldiers could become zombies — military-trained zombies with access to guns. It’s a judgement call. You have the map, so at least you know your options.

San Francisco

All those peace rallies could suddenly become zombie buffets. Photo: Google Maps/Doejo
San Francisco has the advantage of being at the tip of a peninsula. Shutting down the two bridges the lead into the city should be no problem. The disadvantage of San Francisco is that it’s San Francisco, home of pacifism and protest. People here may not have the gumption to mount an effective counter-attack, and no amount of pacifistic protesting will stop a zombie from popping open your skull, and devouring your brain like it’s soup inside a sourdough bread bowl.
Our lack of local gun stores is especially disturbing. Hopefully, the thin design of the MacBook Air — you can find four or five in every local hipster cafe — will help these notebooks serve as effective weapons for zombie decapitation.
San Francisco’s saving grace may be its DIY resourcefulness. Within a few days of the collapse of society, someone will probably have an open-source 3D printable weapon that not only kills zombies, but also offers a much lower carbon footprint than your average bullet.
Plus, San Francisco moved all of it’s dead to the nearby suburb of Colma. That should cut down on the first wave of zombies that wander the streets lusting for brraaaiiinnnsss.

Night of the Living Dead: Resurrection

North Bank Entertainment, the UK production company behind Ruggero Deodato's forthcoming The House on the Edge of the Park Part II, Independent Moving Pictures and Mad Science Films have released the first trailer for Night of the Living Dead: Resurrection, a British version of the 1968 horror classic.

The film is the debut feature of director James Plumb, with the script co-written by James Plumb and Andrew Jones. It was shot on location in Carmarthenshire, Swansea and Cardiff in South Wales, UK.

"In 2012 the deceased have risen from their graves with only one instinct: to feed on the living. As academics speculate on the scientific cause of the phenomena, theologians point to the Armageddon foretold in the Book of Revelation. As the cities are overrun and civilization crumbles, a family take refuge from the undead army in an isolated farmhouse in West Wales. But the greatest threat is already among them."
